Biography

Luis Fuentes is a Software Engineer that recieved his Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge in 2013. He is currently a professional software engineer specializing in Microsoft C# .NET software development with over 5 years of experience in the medical industry.

Undergrad at CSUN

Luis is an experienced educator with two years of professional experience tutoring and mentoring Computer Science. While obtaining his degree in Computer Science, Luis tutored students in the CECS department labs in classes ranging from introduction to Programming classes up to advanced Computer Science classes.

Professional Career

UCLA

Luis began his professional career as a software enginner at the California NanoSystems Institute at the UCLA main campus. He contributed to a project called PyElixys - A Python Flask application that allows a Linux server to communicate and control external devices to perform experimental radiosynthesis on radioactive reagents. He successfully completed the project with his teammate and published the software on Feburary 2014.

Aegis

Following his tenture at UCLA, Luis was recruited by the largest narcotics treatment program in California in April 2014. He joined the team at Aegis Treatment Centers and began his long term employment with the company.

His biggest recent accomplishment was creating an Automation pipeline to procress the billing claim submission tasks used to submit Medi-Cal claims to Kern county. The completion of this project allowed billing staff to focus on other tasks while ensuring that medication and counseling claims were always submitted on-time.

Luis is currently actively involved in numerous software projects that support their clinical and software operations.
